Wayward Strand
Wayward Strand is a moving emotive narrative that is interspersed with a myriad of threads. All of them play out simultaneously aboard an air-borne hospital during the 1970s Australia.
Wayward Strand lets you take the character of Casey Beaumaris, an adolescent girl who is admitted to the hospital for her first time. She'll be exploring the history of the ship, its inhabitants, as well as the connections between them during the following three days.
It is possible to explore the ship rooms, and get to know people who are fascinating and eccentric. You can shadow staff members and explore the space, or you could explore the vessel to learn about its dark past.
The hospital's residents are unpredictably diverse with some who are delightful, while others are odd, others rude, each one with his own set of desires ideas, dreams and ambitions. The residents do what they wish, regardless of the persona of their character.
In the three days Casey stays on board, the characters around her have their own lives to tell as stories she will explore. Each character moves and acts of their own accord and on their own timetable and sharing information with each the other, sharing opinions, or arguing with each other, joking and gossiping or engaging in conversation with Casey when she comes through.
Casey will explore the stories of the airship's airship, and discover how her actions have an impact on the stories.
The Living World The entire story plays out in real time, and are synchronized with one another, all throughout the ship.
